This print is called ‘The Mysterious Offing’. I developed it from an image taken from the beach at Hornsea. Detail has ben reduced emphasise the colour fields representing the beach, a deep sky, the dark sea, and the faint light along the horizon. The contrast between the shadowed water and that thin wash of light looks to render a cool mystery - 'what is beyond the offing?'.
