About
Sandy Patience
Architect and illustrator
I work primarily with digitally developed images, drawing on the compositional discipline of traditional printmaking rather than painterly description.
My interests lie in British landscapes, literature, and the quieter aspects of place — distance, weather, and atmosphere rather than spectacle.
Although the images are created digitally, the process is deliberate and restrained. Each work is developed slowly, with attention to tonal balance and how the image will ultimately exist as a physical print.
The intention is not to document specific locations faithfully, but to arrive at something more considered — an image that feels settled, calm, and able to live with you over time.
All works are printed to order using archival methods, with longevity and material quality as a priority.
