It’s one of the most tragic autobiographies of the 20th century. Everyone knows the ending. It’s almost impossible to do, but I’ve tried to capture the essence of Anne Frank as a young girl navigating the complexities of adolescence amid the backdrop of war. Through my brushwork, I’ve attempted to convey her spirit—both resilient and vulnerable. In photographs from that time, through her gaze, we glimpse the depth of her thoughts and emotions, revealing a teenager’s longing for connection and understanding. I hope I’ve complemented that.
