The Beverley Market Cross is famous as the central, historic, and architecturally significant focal point of the large Saturday Market square, which is considered one of Britain's best examples of a medieval market place. Built in 1714 to replace an earlier cross, it's a Grade I listed structure with a distinctive classical design featuring four pairs of Doric columns and displays the Royal Arms of Queen Anne, serving as a symbol of the town's enduring trading history.
