Beverley's North Bar is a historic 15th-century brick gate, the only surviving one of the town's original defensive structures, built in 1409 to control access and collect tolls. It is the only brick-built town gate in England and is now a Grade I listed building located between North Bar Within and North Bar Without, serving as an impressive, albeit narrow, entrance to the town.
