In this work, I’m exploring ‘Midnight’s Children’ by Salman Rushdie. Saleem Sinai’s birth occurs at India’s moment of independence—connecting his destiny with the country’s turbulent past. I have tried to capture the emotional depth and complexity of a family saga that reflects the broader human experience. Using colours and abstract shapes, I’ve aimed to evoke a sense of magic and connection- perhaps encouraging viewers to contemplate the links between personal and national identity.
