This digital image is an experiment in colour fields based on Hornsea in late afternoon. I reduced the scene into broad bands to examine the transitions from beach to sea to cloud to sky to sunlight. Light and weather keep shifting the relationships between those bands, so returning to the same subject keeps revealing something new.
