Engines are revving, the smell of fuel and rubber hang on the air. Speed is just about to break out on the starting grid. This is a rendering of a racing car as it sits waiting for the signal. I used geometric planes and a pared-down blue and orange palette to present a Formula 1 car head-on, letting intersecting shapes convey the anticipation of speed and mechanical precision. The layered planes reveal structural complexity while the contrasting colours push the composition forward.
