This woodblock-style portrait is of the 'Church Spire at South Dalton' , in East Yorkshire. Designed by the architect John Loughborough Pearson in 1861 - the church is a near-perfect example of Victorian High Gothic revival. Amongst the rolling fields north of Beverley, the spire commands the landscape for miles around.
