This print is of the magnificent south elevation of Beverley Minster, rising above the open grassland of Beverley’s historic Westwood, where cattle graze in the foreground.
One of England’s finest Gothic churches, Beverley Minster was built between the 13th and 15th centuries. Its impressive southern elevation reveals the building’s remarkable architectural development, from the elegant Early English Gothic of the eastern sections to the later Perpendicular Gothic of its soaring western towers.
