The magic of twilight

I'm massively inspired by the work of the Norwegian artist TheodorKittelsen (1857 – 1914). His paintings of in-between spaces and time explored the mysteries we still associate with the Scandinavian forest. I’m particularly interested in how our eyes take time to adapt for the low lighting levels to discover nature at work at this time of day. 

In ‘The Twilight Predator,’ an owl takes flight in the enchanting moments between day and night. This artwork presents a striking silhouette against a deepening sky, capturing the essence of nature's quiet drama. The owl, poised in mid-air, embodies the thrill of the hunt, its presence both commanding and elusive. Surrounding trees frame the scene, enhancing the sense of mystery and anticipation.
