The magic of twilight

I'm massively inspired by the work of the Norwegian artist TheodorKittelsen (1857 – 1914). His paintings of in-between spaces and time explored the mysteries we still associate with the Scandinavian forest. I’m particularly interested in how our eyes take time to adapt for the low lighting levels to discover nature at work at this time of day. 

Twilight, the transitional period between day and night, is characterised by a magical quality due to its changing light, soft shadows, and glow. It symbolises mystery and romance, as seen in literature, art, and film, and is a perfect backdrop for moments of wonder and intrigue. The ethereal atmosphere creates a sense of suspended time, making it an ideal time for reflection, magic, and love. As nature settles, it offers a peaceful atmosphere, inviting thought and introspection.
