Driving down the West coast of Ireland, we came across the empty expanse of Inch Sands on the Dingle peninsular. It had just rained. A glider had landed on the beach, yet nobody was in sight.

Famous for being the place where an inch is actually three miles long, the beach at Inch has been chosen several times as a film location, including for ‘Ryan's Daughter'.
